CAN-AM SPEEDWAY PLANS FULL SEASON OF EXCITING GO-KART RACING IN 2020
The past (2) seasons have seen the Can-Am Speedway go-kart program continue to grow, with weekly entries nearing the 100 mark every Saturday night. Because of the continued support of the kart racers, Can-Am management has planned a 16 race schedule for 2020, highlighted by (2) Pro Kart Challenge events for 360 Clone competitors and the annual Battle at the Border.
The new Pro Kart Challenge is being presented and organized by Dan Kapuscinski Promotions and will consist of (2) races each at Can-Am, the Weedsport Kartway and the Oswego Kartway. Can Am's two events will be held on July 18th and August 15th. The 2020 go-kart season will kick off with open practice on April 18th and 25th, followed by opening night on May 2nd. The karting season will again conclude with the Battle at the Border on September 5th. Plans are for all classes from 2019 to return this coming season and officials are looking into the addition of a couple of new divisions depending on interest. The 2019 awards banquet will be held on Friday night March 6th at the beautiful 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel in Clayton, NY, more information will be released shortly with times, menu and ticket pricing.
