DAVIS WINS PEORIA’S “HANK ARNOLD MEMORIAL”

Peoria, AZ……..Charles Davis Jr. of Buckeye, Ariz. scored his first USAC Southwest Sprint victory of the 2016 season Saturday night in the “Hank Arnold Memorial” at Canyon Speedway. He took the lead from Brian Hosford on lap 23 and led the final eight laps in the Massey Motorsports RSS Industries/Rod End Supply RSS/Don Ott entry to beat Mike Martin, Stevie Sussex, Hosford and Tye Mihocko. Series point leader R.J. Johnson was the fastest qualifier and finished second, while Martin claimed the “Hard Charger” award, coming from seventh to second.
