26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (March 6, 2018) – After last weekend’s runner-up finish to kick off the 2018 season, Dale Eliason Jr entered the year’s first Wing Micro race cautiously optimistic at his chances of ending the night in victory lane.
“I showed up to the track really confident, but a little worried after some motor problems last week,” he said. “The track looked about the same as last weekend, greasy and dry on the bottom. We pulled a high pill and started in the back of our heat. The only way to pass the car in front of you was if they made a mistake, but we were able to pick up two spots.”
Eliason Jr missed the re-draw by two spots, placing him tenth to start the feature.
“I had some struggles at the start that led to me falling to the back,” Eliason Jr explained. “From there, I pushed my way up front while trying a new line every other lap. We made it up to fifth while still fighting some motor issues.”
The Eliason Motorsports team will have a couple of weeks to get the bugs worked out before the Micro Sprints debut on the new small track in the infield of Central Arizona Speedway on March 24th.
Eliason Jr would like to thank Affordable Powder Coating, Copper State Bolt & Nut, Custom Caretaking Plus INC, DOLCRX, Guhl Motors, HJ Tile, Industrial Machinery Services, PMP Chassis, Seros Racing Engines, and T & K Repair for their support.
