TJ Wyman Finishes 11th at Allscapes Back to School Special

26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (July 31, 2018) – TJ Wyman continues to learn and gain valuable experience during his rookie season with the IMCA Northern Sport Mods.
Wyman’s Saturday night at Canyon Speedway Park’s Allscapes Back to School Special started with a rain delay following hot laps.
“The car ran okay in hot laps, and then it started raining,” he explained. “We had about an hour and a half delay once the track got rolled in, we started second in our heat and finished fourth after having some motor issues.”
Wyman’s second to fourth run in the heat was enough to lock him into the feature redraw where he drew the eight placing him on the outside of the fourth row for the start of the 20-lap feature.
“My goal was to finish in the top ten,” he said. “The car was great in the feature. We drove up to sixth and were able to stay there for a little bit. Then I made a rookie mistake of going to the bottom instead of the top where I was faster. We fell back to eleventh, and after that, I just drove over my head. But overall this weekend was a great experience for me.”
Wyman’s next scheduled race is August 18th at Arizona Speedway with the IMCA Nothern Sport Mods.
