Pierre Guyon Takes Opening Night Win, Alberta Extreme Sprints May 26,2018
Alberta Extreme Sprints Season opener on Saturday May 26, 2018 - Castrol Raceway.
Alberta Extreme Sprints Season opener on Saturday May 26, 2018 is in the books.
Castrol Raceway and Ginja Ninja Promotions did a great job getting thing in order for the new season.
Track was very smooth and gave 2 racing grooves.
Heat #1 had a 2nd lap caution with 0 Cal Hawkes and 11 Grant Rude getting tangled up in corner 1.
The race finished with 6 Tom Watts with the win followed by 65 Wayne Callihoo, 09 Al MacIntosh and 57 Ed Weirsma. 0 Cal Hawkes and 11 Grant Rude did not make it back out on the restart.
Heat #2 was all green flag laps with 8 Pierre Guyon with the win followed by 66 Joey Dupperon, 34 Johnny Weirsma, 36 Chevy Goodhope, 2r Paul Rollo and 73 Driver name TBD.
20 lap Main race seen 6 Tom Watts and 8 Pierre Guyon starting on the front row.
The main race went all 20 green flag laps, with 8 Pierre Guyon taking the race win followed by 66 Joey Dupperon, 36 Chevy Goodhope and 65 Wayne Callihoo to round off the top 4. This race was a great first race for the season with 20 laps being completed just under 6 Mins.
Congrats to #8 Pierre Guyon on the season opener win.
