Last week, the championship season at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) continued with several repeat winners in each of the competing classes, which include POWRi B-Mods, Super Stocks, and Midwest Mods, plus unsanctioned Pure Stocks.

Drivers still in pursuit of those elusive first victories of the season will work to improve their odds again on Saturday night against some of the most talent-deep field of drivers in the local area. Other drivers who have already driven to victories this season will look to rebound and reclaim their top positions from the drivers who currently have a stranglehold on the rest of the competition.

In the B-Mod division, Terry Schultz leads the standings over fellow veteran race Tim Karrick while Stephen Clancy and Colin Pierce remain in the hunt. Schultz and Clancy both have victories so far while Karrick and Pierce look for an opportunity to drive to a CMS win for the first time this year.

Multiple-time champion Aaron Poe is in familiar territory on top of the Super Stock action with Blaine Ewing second, followed by Oklahoma’s Michael Muskrat, Devin Irvin, and James Nighswonger. Poe and Ewing have both secured multiple wins this season while Muskrat, Irvin, and Nighswonger seem to be knocking on the door to victory at any moment.

For the Midwest Mods, Logan Roark has been nearly unstoppable during an incredible early season run, in which he has racked up five CMS wins and a total of nine for the year. Former champion Dustin Dennison sits second, followed by David Wood, Brian Meyer, and Marcus Feuerstein, all looking for their first wins.

Spencer Reiff is another multiple-time winner so far this year as he rules the Pure Stock standings ahead of fellow winner Bobby Russell in second. David Doelz and Mallory Stiffler have consistently put together good seasons so far in third and fourth respectively with Jonathan Evans rounding out the top five.

During last month’s appearance by the IMCA Race Saver 305 Sprints, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma’s Terry Easum collected the victory ahead of Natalie Doney, Matt Fox, and Kendall Weymuth. Note, mention of driver name throughout the press release does not guarantee race appearance.

This Saturday’s program features regular weekly racing plus guest class MoKan IMCA Race Saver 305 Sprints. Regular event pricing will be in effect Saturday as follows: $15 Adult Gen Adm - $12 Active Military & Seniors 65 to 74. $6 Kids Ages 6 to 12 - Kids 5 and Under Free.
