Beierle Set for National Sprint League Doubleheader at Fairmont, Clay County

Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (Aug. 19, 2015) – Andee Beierle returns to FVP National Sprint League competition this weekend with a Midwest doubleheader.

Beierle will make her debut at Fairmont Raceway in Fairmont, Minn., on Friday and at Clay County Fairgrounds in Spencer, Iowa, on Saturday.

“It’s always exciting to go to new tracks to test yourself and to learn,” she said. “I’ll go into both races with the same goal I’ve had this year, which is to get as many laps as possible and gain valuable seat time.”

Beierle has only been able to compete in four 410ci sprint car races this season. However, she has improved her result during each race, capped with a 17th-place result during her last outing.

“I try not to focus on results since I’m competing against drivers who have raced 10 times as much as I have this season and who have been racing for many years,” she said. “We want to concentrate on getting better and gaining comfort each time we hit the track.”

Following the doubleheader Beierle will begin her first semester at Iowa State University, where she transferred this year, next Monday.

“School is extremely important to me and will be the priority,” she said. “We’ll try to race as often as possible, but when it comes down to it school will win.”
