Miller Continues Non-Wing Speedweek Dominance

Eugene, Oregon’s Kyle Miller dominated the field at the Cottage Grove Speedway to earn his fifth win with the Northwest Wingless Tour in 2013. It would mark his third triumph in three starts in the first ever Non-Wing Speedweek.
Dallas Melby of Ravensdale, Washington led the opening laps in the Competition Motorsports/Rabourn Performance #14 CMS entry for car owner Ron Brown but would fight hard with Garret Johnson for the top spot. Johnson, in his Suquamish Indian Tribe #3G Schnee, would briefly overtake Melby but Melby would take it right back.
As the two leaders battle hard for the top spot it gave a perfect opportunity for Kyle Miller to catch the front of the field. By lap seven Miller would take the lead and would blaze the trail the rest of the distance. It would be the third NWWT in 2013 at CGS for Miller and his Gary’s Subaru Service/Grant Springer Racing Engines/Finest Detail #10 XXX.
Finishing a respectable runner-up was Dallas Melby over the extremeturbosystems.com/Fast Racing Engines #7K XXX of Kyle Mehner from Damascus in the third. The balance of the top five would consist of Salem’s Kady Adelman, in her K&S Motorsports/BC Motorsports/Adelman Peony Gardens #6A Maxim, in fourth and Rob Lindsey from Wilsonville finishing fifth in the Maxline Cases/Competition Suspensions Inc./Speedmart Inc. #23 XXX.
Kyle Miller was fast time of the night at 12.525 seconds. Earning the victory in the heat race and trophy dash was Bill Winsley. The Northwest Wingless Tour will be back in action tomorrow night on Saturday July 20th for the fourth leg of the Non-Wing Speedweek.
