Chris Pierce Becomes First Multi Hornet Champion At CGS

Although he was absent in victory lane at Cottage Grove Speedway in 2015, Chris Pierce was able to have good enough finishes to put together another championship winning season. The Cottage Grove chauffeur would notch up his second consecutive title in the Quality RV Repair Hornets. Pierce is the only driver to have won more then one championship in the division since it was created in 2011.
“I really have to thank Jayson Nelson for letting me drive this season,” said Pierce, “I also have to send a big thanks to my wife for being there and helping me at every race.”
The driver of the Quality RV Repair/AP Media/Bigg Dogg Recycling/Froggy's Towing #28 Acura Integra, owned by Jayson Nelson, would finish in the top five on ten occasions in fifteen starts. He also would finish among the top ten in all fifteen starts. His best result would be a second place finish on June 13th while he was third in the main event four times.
