FINISHLINE PIT CREW CHALLENGE 2017
Friday June 16th
Interested crews within the Hobby Stock, Sport Mod, Stock Car and Modified classes shall pre-register with Finishline. We will draw 1 car from each of the 4 competing classes and pair them for the competition (Hobby stock vs. Stock Car/Sport Mod vs. Modified). If you are selected you will promptly bring your car, 2 spare mounted wheels, a jack, and driver gear to the front stretch at the start of intermission. Only three pit crew members can participate on each team in this challenge.
You will be attempting to complete a series of tasks before the opposing crew completes them.
Tasks: (each one must be completed in full before advancing to next task)
- Jack up left front, remove tire, replace tire (ALL 5 LUG NUTS MUST BE SECURE), release jack
- Run around to right rear, jack up right rear, remove tire, replace tire (ALL 5 LUG NUTS MUST BE SECURE), release jack and remove from under car
- 1 crew member will then apply driver gear (fire suit, helmet, gloves) and then get in driver’s seat, buckle belts, apply steering wheel, and yell “DONE”.
The timer will stop when we hear “done”. Judges will be watching to ensure all tasks are completed.
The winner of each division (2 divisions are participating, HOBBY vs. STOCK/B-MOD vs. A-Mod) will receive a Hoosier Tire & the pit crew that participated will all get a free Finish line T-shirt.
Sports Compact drivers must stop at the FINISHLINE parts trailer at the beginning of the night prior to heats to put your name in a drawing for a $50 FINISHLINE gift certificate & FINISHLINE t-shirt. We will draw the winners name at intermission.
The FINISHLINE PIT CREW CHALLENGE participants need to sign up by 6:00 pm Thursday JUNE 15th. We will post the winners on the FINISHLINE Racing Products FACEBOOK page so if you haven’t liked our page please do so! We will also post the names at the pit shack.
