Mother Nature tried in vain to stop the race program at Deer Creek Speedway. Rain showers hit the speedway late in the afternoon and delayed the start of the program just shy of two hours.

The show was presented by Rent-N-Save, Randy & Sandy Norby, Travel Lanes & Supper Club along with Dohlman Lawn Care. There was still unfinished business with three make-up features from May 5 to start the show and then a full program to follow. A big field of 124-cars signed in for the five division, 29-race show.

The National Fleet Graphics USRA B-Mods were up first for their make-up race. After a caution on the initial start, pole sitter Cole Denner jumped to the lead. Jared Boumeester applied pressure for the entire 18-lap distance. The race for third was god also with Andrew Bleess, Dustin Kruse and Shaun Walski.

Despite a caution on lap 10, Denner fended off Boumeester to score the win. Walski would finish in the third spot with Ryan Maitland in fourth and Kruse wound up fifth.

Tommy Richards blasted off from row one in the Brauer Roofing WISSOTA Super Stock feature. Richards went unchallenged and led all 20-laps to take the win. Neil Eckhart held off Kevin Hager for second while Jeff Brauer and Schatney Sanders were fourth and fifth.

The 25-lap Napa Auto Care Centers USRA Modified make-up race was a dandy. Joel Alberts and Jacob Bleess put on a show early in the race. They exchanged several slide jobs and the lead until Bleess got to the front on lap seven.

Cory Crapser then challenged Alberts for second and got there on lap 9. Meanwhile fifth row starter Brad Waits was on the move. Waits got to the top five, then to fourth and was on Alberts for third. A caution on lap 13 slowed the pace.

On the start, Waits slipped past Crapser for second and went after Bleess. Adam Hensel was also on the charge from 13th and entered the top five. The leaders got into lapped traffic with a few laps left and Waits challenged for the lead.

Waits got alongside Bleess a couple of times, but Bleess sliced through the lapped cars and held on for the win. Crapser would ride home third with Hensel fourth and Keith Foss fifth.

The Adams Graphix WISSOTA Street Stocks kicked off the nightly feature action with the father and son team of Bernie and Kory Adams in row one. Bernie got off to a rough start when his car did not come up to speed and triggered a yellow.

Kory Adams took the lead with Jason Newkirk second. Blake Adams shot up from eighth to third and challenged Newkirk for second. The top three went three wide for the lead on lap 2 with Blake Adams in the lead. Braden Brauer moved to fourth and closed on the top three.

Blake Adams pulled away while Brauer passed Newkirk for third and then raced Kory Adams for second. A yellow on lap 14 slowed the field and Kory Adams dropped out with issues.

Blake Adams led the final four laps to score his third win in a row. Brauer finished in second place with Newkirk in third. Ryan Jacobsen entered the top five late in the race to finish fourth and Bernie Adams rebounded to fifth.

Josh Crary got a great start to take the lead in the Dirt Doctor Trucking WISSOTA Midwest Modified main. Crary bolted pasr front row starters Liz Toepper and Casey Trom to lead the field. Crary was a rocket ship on the top side while Steven Amundson moved to third.

Amundson moved to second on lap three and Austin Schrage got to fourth. A couple of cautions would slow the race and erase Crary’s big lead. But Crary again took off on the start and Schrage was now third. Ryan Wetzstein who started 17th was now in the top five on lap 10. A yellow on lap 11 would again bring the field back to Crary.

On the start, a huge crash on the frontstretch involved eight cars with Jacob Toepper going upside down and the red flag was displayed. Fortunately all the drivers were uninjured, but the race was delayed by 20-minutes to clean-up the scene of the crash.

Crary still led when the race restarted, but Amundson and Schrage stayed close. Crary would take his first Deer Creek feature win with Amundson and Schrage close behind. Wetzstein’s run ended in fourth and Trom would be fifth.

Twenty-four cars took the green for the 18-lap USRA B-Mod main. Pole sitter Ryan Maitland jumped to the lead with Jayden Larsen and Shaun Walski right on his heels. Walski moved to second and brought Dustin Kruse with him to third. Jim Chisholm moved from seventh to fourth early on.

Chisholm moved past Kruse to third on lap seven and then challenged Walski for second when the caution lights blinked on. Jared Boumeester got a great start and shot to second as another yellow came out. The race got going and Chisholm took off on the top side and was right on Maitland for the lead.

Chisholm led lap 10 and then he went three wide with Maitland and Boumeester for the point. Maitland would regain the lead on lap 11 and scored his first Deer Creek win. Boumeester edged Chisholm for second with Kruse fourth and Walski fifth.

Dexton Koch charged from row three to lead lap one of the WISSOTA Super Stock feature. Koch took off and led the caution free race for the entire 20-lap distance. It was Koch’s first win at the speedway in dominating fashion.

Tommy Richards and Jeff Brauer had a good race for second with Richards in front at the checkered flag. Neil Eckhart would finish in the fourth position and Schatney Sanders in the top five.

Brad Waits took off from row one of the USRA Modified feature and would dominate the 25-laps to take the impressive win. The race for second was super with Joe Horgdal and Keith Tourville. There was also a very good battle for fourth with Nate Wasmund, Jake Timm and Jacob Bleess.

Waits checked out and won by a huge margin, but the battles behind him kept fans entertained. Horgdal and Tourville raced side-by-side for several laps until Horgdal took over on lap 16. Jake Timm made a late charge to finish in third with Wasmund fourth and Tourville in fifth.
