Rain showers were all around Deer Creek Speedway, but only a few sprinkles fell at the facility. This week’s event was presented by Advanced Disposal, Weber Auto Parts, Nu-Tech, Wagner Trucking and Podien’s Power Equipment.

One hundred four cars were in the pit area this week. Three drivers added to their win totals and two would get their first wins of the season. One of those was a first time winner on dirt.

The National Fleet Graphics USRA B-Mods had Nick Wagner in the lead with Kadden Kath and Ryan Maitland going at it for second. Kath broke away and then chased Wagner to steal the lead on lap two. A couple of early yellow flags would keep things tight.

After a lap three yellow, Maitland got to second and Dustin Kruse moved to third by Wagner. Wagner fired back and had a good race with Kruse for a few laps until Kruse took over.

Kath led the rest of the way for his second win of the season. Kath was also the first repeat winner in the division this season. Maitland finished second with Kruse third. A.J. Hoff got his first top five in fourth with Wagner fifth. Troy Hovey picked up the $50 hard charger award from Weber Auto Parts

The Adams Graphix WISSOTA Street Stock feature got off to a rocky start. Outside pole sitter Bernie Adams got turned into the turn two wall on the start and collected several cars. Adams was able to continue, but several went to the pits for repairs and to change flat tires.

Polesitter Parker Voth got bounced on the restart and that stacked the field up. Nick Schwebach and Bernie Adams both got by with Zach Elward, Mike Chaplin and Dustin Doughty in the mix. A caution on lap three again slowed the pace.

On the start, Doughty, Elward and Schewbach were three wide for second. Kory Adams who started 15th was in the top five. Another melee amongst the leaders brought out the caution and Elward left the speedway along with Doughty who both had flat tires.

Schwebach led on the restart, but Kory Adams was now second and started to challenge. Adams took the lead on lap seven and held off a late charge from Schwebach to take his third win in a row. He also received the $50 hrd charger bonus from Weber Auto Parts. Braden Brauer would finish third while Newkirk and Elward both came from the back to finish fourth and fifth.

Cole Anderson led from start to finish in the Dirt Doctor Trucking WISSOTA Midwest Modified main event to get his first career win on dirt. It was not easy by any means. Anderson had to survive numerous cautions and the action was intense behind the leader for the entire 18-laps.

Steven Amundson got past Jeff McDonald for second and pressured the leader. Nick Koehler and Zach Benson both slipped past too and raced for third. Koehler zipped to third and Don Schaefer was up to fourth on lap five.

Koehler bounced off the turn two wall and Don Schaefer made his move to third. Anderson had opened up a lead on Amundson, but a caution on lap nine would erase his advantage. Schaefer made a move on Amundson on the start and they had a great race going while they were three wide for fifth.

A caution came out on lap 13 and on the start Schaefer got to second and Zach Benson moved to third. Another caution came out on lap 15 to slow the race and keep the pack tight with the leader Anderson.

Anderson led the last three laps to earn his first win and also made it a clean sweep for the evening. Amundson got back by Schaefer to take second. Schaefer was third with Zach Benson fourth and Mitch Weiss raced from 13th to fifth. Peter Lueschner picked up the $50 hard charger bonus from Weber Auto Parts.

Schatney Sanders started on the pole for the 20-lap Brauer Roofing WISSOTA Super Stock feature. Dexton Koch stormed from sixth to second with Jeff Brauer up to third. Sanders continued to lead but Koch was close.

Koch challenged on lap five while Brauer tried to make it a three car race on lap seven. Brauer battled with Koch for second as they were right with Sanders. Behind the lead trio, Neil Eckhart and Dave Mass had a good race going for fourth.

The lead pack caught lapped traffic and Koch took advantage of that, Koch made the pass on lap 14 to leave Sanders, Brauer and Mass to continue to duel for positions. Mass was trying everything he had to get closer to the front but it just did not pan out.

Koch led the rest of the way for his second win of the season and also picked up the $50 hard charger bonus. Brauer wound up second with Sanders in third. Mass finished in fourth and Eckhart was fifth.

Brad Waits and Josh Angst led the 25-car NAPA Auto Care Centers USRA Modifieds to the green flag in their 25-lap finale. Waits took the lead and opened up a big gap in the early stages.

Angst settled into second while Ryan Ruter and Darwyn Karau raced for third. Ruter slipped past and then Karau was challenged by Keith Foss. Jacob Bleess ran fourth but 11th start Jake Timm was on the fly in fifth.

Waits continued to hold a healthy advantage and Angst was solid on second. Ruter held third as Foss passed Karau for fourth and Timm was up to fifth. Foss and Timm reeled in Ruter and the race was on for third. Timm passed Foss and then got by Ruter on lap nine.

The leaders entered lapped traffic on lap 12 and that allowed Angst to close slightly on Waits. It was a great races behind them with Timm, Ruter and Foss dueling for position. Nate Wasmund started 12th and was up into the top five at this point.

A caution on lap 18 would slow things down and free the lead pack from the lapped cars. The green came out and Timm got past Angst for second while a great raced ensued for third. Waits had once again opened up a bit of a lead, but Timm closed with a few lap to go.

The white flag flew and Timm went low in turn one and was even with Waits for the lead down the back stretch. Timm made a bold move in turn three and got by Waits to steal the win at the line. Waits was second with Angst in third. Karau was fourth and Wasmund finished fifth. Joel Alberts and Jake Timm tied for the hard charger and split the $50.
