Angst, Searing, Chisholm, Weiss & Adams Nab Deer Creek Opener

After being delayed by almost a month, the Deer Creek Speedway season opener finally took place. It was a beautiful day for racing and 115-race cars turned out for the show. Twenty-five Dirt Doctor Trucking WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds took the green flag for their 18-lap feature.

Outside pole sitter Mitch Weiss took the early advantage while Jason Haugerud raced Kylie Kath for second. Kath took the spot on lap two and chased down Weiss.

Cole Searing worked to third while Nick Koehler cracked the top five on lap three. The yellow flag flew and kept things tight up front. When the green came back out, Koehler got to fourth, but a five car pile-up triggered another caution.

Weiss, Kath and Searing were close on lap seven but another caution set up a wild restart. Kath challenged Weiss for the lead and threw a wicked slide job in turn three to steal the lead. Weiss rallied and reclaimed the lead in turn four. Kath tried another slider in turn two, but spun to bring out the yellow.

A couple more cautions would slow the pace, but not Weiss because he was flawless. Weiss wheeled to the win with Searing in second. Koehler ended up third with Michael wytaske and Dan Wheeler in the top five.

The Adams Graphix WISSOTA Street Stocks were up next and their feature was a dandy. Blake Adams led from the pole with Nick Schwebach and Kory Adams right with the leader. Justin Vogel got to fourth on lap 3 and closed on the lead trio.

Schwebach stole the lead on lap four and Kory Adams moved to second. Blake Adams then slowed and pulled to the infield. Eric Riley. Jason Newkirk and Braden Brauer were three wide for fourth on lap 9 and Riley took the spot. Back up front the race was intense for the lead.

Adams ran the high line, Schwebach was in the middle and Vogel was low. They were very close on laps 11 and 12. إلعب واربح Adams used the quick top line to take the lead on lap 13. On the next lap, Adams scraped the wall in turn two and that allowed Schwebach to regain the lead. Adams gathered his machine back up and drove back to the lead on lap 16.

Adams zoomed to the win while Vogel slipped past Schwebach and made a run at Adams that came up just short. Schwebach finished third with Riley in fourth and Brauer finished in the fifth position.

A large field of 33-National Fleet Graphics USRA B-Mods took four heats and two B-mains to reach their 24-car feature field. Jim Chisholm drew the pole position for the 18-lap main event and it was pretty much his show.

Chisholm took off and opened up a substantial lead throughout the race. Even a couple of caution flags did not slow him down. Chisholm worked the top side to perfection and lead the entire distance for the win.

Parker Hale got to second on lap 10 and finished there. A.J. Hoff had a fine run to finish in third. Cole Denner finished in fourth and Alex Williamson would round out the top five.

Neil Eckhart and Ryan Wiome led the 14-car Crenlo WISSOTA Super Stock feature to the green flag. Wiome led Eckhart, Jeff Brauer and Cole Searing in the early laps while they ran in a tight pack. A yellow on lap 15 set up a great race for the final five laps.

Wiome, Brauer and Searing were three abreast for the lead with Eckhart close behind them. Searing tried the low groove on Wiome and then the high line. They were side by side on lap 18 while Searing searched for the better groove.

Searing found it on the top side of turn two and stormed to the lead. Searing then led the final lap for the win. Wiome ended up second with Eckhart in third. Brauer finished in fourth while Casey Underdahl was fifth.

Josh Angst and Greg Pfeifer Jr. led the NAPA Auto Care Centers USRA Modifieds to the green for their 25-lap feature. Angst took the lead while Dustin Sorensen snuck past Pfeifer Jr. for second. Jake Timm was in third while Brad Waits moved to fifth from the 10th starting spot.

Waits moved to fourth and Jason Cummins was now fifth on lap five. Meanwhile up front Angst had opened up a straightaway lead on Sorensen. القمار Angst caught the back of the pack on lap 13 and Sorensen started to close. Waits was now third and reeled in Sorensen while the leaders dealt with lapped traffic. رهانات كرة القدم Darwyn Karau broke on lap 16 to bring out the caution.

With a clear track in front of him, Angst cruised to the win over Sorensen. Waits finished in the third spot with Jason Cummins in fourth. Jake Timm would round out the top five.
