WESTLEY SMITH WINS SEASON'S FIRST IN AC DELCO MODS

Hometown driver, Westley Smith was picture perfect in the 15-lap AC Delco TSS Modified feature. Smith took the lead from Garrie Bostwick on the first lap and never looked back.

 

Eric Vent would grab second by lap two and chase Smith the remainder of the distance. Two late race cautions gave Vent and third place runner, Justin Griffith a chance but Smith made no mistakes and drove to his first checked of the season and the second of his career. Vent finished in second with Griffith third. Fourth went to Danny Smack and Bostwick rounded out the top five. Fast time in qualifying was set by Joseph Tracy who had to start eighth with the inversion.
