MOTHER NATURE ALTERS SCHEDULE ONE MORE TIME
By Charlie Brown, Delmar, DE – With rain washing out Delaware International Speedway’s racing on Saturday night the promotion has had to alter the schedule one more time. The schedule for the remainder of the season is now as follows:
September 24th – No racing due to the NHRA Northeast Division 1 Bracket Finals at the adjoining U.S. 13 Dragway.
October 1st – URC Sprint Cars, Big Block Modifieds, Super Late Models, Crate Models, AC Delco TSS Modifieds and Mod Lites.
October 8th – “King of Kings� for Super Late Models plus “Blast from the Past� Reunion. Five weekly divisions plus Little Lincoln Cars and Vintage Stock Cars. NOTE Blast for the Past passes are for registered participants and are not transferable.
October 21st – Friday Night – Delaware State Dirt Track Championships. All qualifying plus Little Lincoln and Small Block Modified Championship features.
October 22nd – Saturday Night – Delaware State Dirt Track Championships. Consolations plus Big Block Modified, Super Late Model, Crate Model, AC Delco TSS Modifieds, Mod Lite, Vintage and Slide for 5 championships.
Starting with the October 8th event, gates will open an hour earlier at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 7 p.m. Friday night, Oct. 21st gates open at 3 p.m. with hot laps at 6 p.m. and on Saturday night, Oct. 22nd gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 5:30 p.m.
