C.J. SCHIRMER CAPTURES VINTAGE MAIN - MILLER WINS TOP SPORTSMAN

In the 12-lap Vintage feature it was Dwayne Heck blasting from fifth to take the lead on lap one. Rick Loveland, Jr. held down the second spot until Freddy Brightbill dropped him to third. Jim Pride, Jr. came through the pack to take third by halfway with Chuck Tucker riding in fourth and Oscar Fields fifth.

 

Pride, Jr. climbed to second with two laps to go then went two wide with Heck for the lead in turn two. Pride got a little out of shape and made contact with Heck sending him into the wall and Heck spinning to the inside.

 

C.J. Schirmer had made a charge through the top five on the previous restart and found himself in the lead. Schirmer led the final two laps to take the win with Tucker second and Fields third. Fourth went to Richie Pratt and Carl Schirmer rounded out the top five. Todd Miller finished first sportsman.
