MATT HILL IN WILD FINISH FOR 3RD CRATE MODEL WIN

Mike Wharton led from the pole In the early stages of the 15-lap Crate Model feature with Billy Thompson running in second. Matt Hill got by Thompson just before halfway. A lap nine caution put Hill on Wharton’s back bumper and Tyler Reed made it a three car battle.

A yellow with three to go bunched the field once again. Hill took the lead coming to the one to go sign. Going into the first turn Wharton pulled even on the inside then slid up the track. The lead pair made contact with Wharton spinning to a stop to bring out the yellow.

Despite and broken radiator, Hill was able to hold on to the lead on the restart and drive to his third win of the season. Derek Magee posted and personal best as he got by Reed on the final lap to finish in second. Joe Warren finished in the fourth spot and fast qualifier, Matt Glanden came from eighth to round out the top five.
