MATT HILL WINS FIFTH IN CRATE MODELS

Matt Glanden set fast time in the Crate Model qualifying but it was Mike Wilson starting on the pole with the eight car inversion. Wilson led the first lap but tangled with Dylan Evan on lap two.

Sparky White took over the lead on the restart with Matt Hill working by Robbie Emory for second. A pair of mid-race cautions kept the field tightly bunched and on lap six, Hill moved by White to take the lead.

Michael Wharton worked his way into fourth at the halfway sign and with five to go took third from Joe Warren. Hill made no mistakes in the final laps as he drove to his fifth win of the season and increased his point lead. White finished in the second spot with Wharton third. Fourth went to Warren and Derek Magee held off Clint Chalabala to finish in fifth.
