REESE MASIELLO LEADS WIRE TO WIRE FOR FIRST CRATE MODEL WIN IN 2013
In the 15-lap Crate Model feature it was a great battle up front in the top five throughout the distance. Â Reese Masiello set fast time and with the zero inversion draw started on the pole. Eric Vent was first to challenge from second with Sparky White running third. A couple of quick cautions kept the field bunched. White grabbed second on lap four while Tyler Reed, Joe Warren and Matt Hill battled for fourth. Vent regained second for two laps before White took it back for good.
At the halfway sign it was Masiello on top followed by White, Mike Wharton, Vent and  Joe Warren in the top five. Wharton got by White for second with six to go but Masiello had built a solid lead. Hill got by Warren with two laps to go for fifth. On the final lap, Wharton closed to with a car length but Masiello would make no mistakes as he drove to his first checkered on the season and the second of his career. Wharton finished just .467 seconds back in second with White third. Vent finished in fourth and Hill rounded out the top five. Just 3.8 second separated the top five at the checkered. Masiello became the seventh different winner this season in the division.
