ZAC WELLER GETS 2ND WIN IN CRATE MODELS
Rookie Wes Clifton got off to a great start in the 15-lap Crate Model feature. Billy Thompson would chase Clifton for the first four circuits before Zac Weller dropped him to third. Weller quickly closed on Clifton. Just before halfway Clifton made a bobble and Weller took the lead at the halfway sign.
Mike Wharton and Robbie Walls, Jr. put on a good battle for the third spot with Walls taking control of the spot with two laps to go. At the finish it was Weller cruising to his second win of the season and Clifton posting his career best finish in second. Walls held on to finish in third with Wharton fourth and Tyler Reed coming on strong in the closing laps to finish in fourth. Heats were won by Clifton and Weller.
