JAMIE EICHHOLZ SCORES FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON IN CRATE MODELS
Jamie Eichholz took full advantage of his pole starting spot in the 15-lap Crate Model feature as he quickly jumped out front with Billy Thompson in tow in second. Thompson’s drive would end on lap five when he headed to the pits and Charles Shawver picked up the chase.
Tyler Reed got by Shawver just past halfway but Eichholz was not to be denied his first win of the season. Eichholz crossed under the checkered 3.89 seconds ahead of Reed with Shawver holding on to finish in third. Fourth went to Mike Wharton and Wes Clifton rounded out the top five. Heats were won by Eichholz and Zac Weller.
