SAME SONG SECOND VERSE: Cody Williams Dominance Continues, Appel and Berry Victorious

Dodge City, Kan 6/15/2024 (www.racedcrp.com) - Night 2 of the Dave Garmann Memorial presented 99 race teams including 36 High Plains Kansas DirtCar Late Model Series drivers.

In the IMCA Hobby Stock class, Cody Williams came out and flexed his muscles yet again, grabbing his 18th win of the year , in just 34 starts…

“It’s incredible honestly, the year we’ve had. I talked to Kyler and we're going to start at the back of the next couple of features and see what we can do” said Cody.

In the IMCA Northern Sport Mod feature, Josh Appel was able to claim the $1,000 payday after surviving a 20 lap feature. Filled with action and tons of passing, Appel was able to fend off Kamren Gruber and Cody Gearharts late charge.

“It was really fun. I can’t thank my sponsors and team enough, and I just want to say hello back home to my wife and kids” said Appel in Big R victory lane.

When it came to the IMCA Modified feature, it was all Brett Berry at the front of the pack to grab his second win at Dodge City Raceway Park. Leading the entire race after starting on the pole, Berry was able to craft a perfect 20 lap race to claim his 6th win of the year in a IMCA Modified. “Gosh the track was great tonight, shoutout to the track crew for giving us a good track” said Berry.

The next event at Dodge City Raceway Park will be on July 3rd for the Family Fun Night featuring the National Open Wheel 600 series. Tickets can be purchased at the gate. Gates open at 5:00PM.
