Kyle Bellm

ASCS Warrior Region Victory at Double-X Speedway

It was a big week for Kyle as he competed in the ASCS National Tour Speedweek visiting 5 different tracks in just 6 days! Monday he started out at Jones Motor Speedway in Chatham, LA and finished 16th in the feature. On Tuesday, Kyle traveled to Diamond Park Speedway in Murfreesboro, AR where he also finished 16th. Wednesday, Kyle had his sights set on Lawton Speedway in Lawton, OK where he fell just short of transfering to the night’s A-Main event after getting tangled with a lapped car in a transfer position. Friday night’s competition took place at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, OK. Kyle started 19th in the A-Main and advanced 7 positions to come up with a 12th place finish. On Saturday, for the Speedweek finale and a National Tour/Warrior Region co-sanctioned event Kyle jumped back into the Smith Racing # 86. He started 7th in his heat race and finished 3rd. Coming up with enough passing points to make the redraw, Kyle drew a 7 for the night’s main event. With a good start and some early passes Kyle settled into the 3rd position for a podium finish to end out Speedweek.

On Sunday, he traveled with the #86 Team to Double-X Speedway in California, MO for another Warrior Region race that had been added to the schedule just a few days prior to the event. Kyle started on the pole of his heat race and picked up the win. In the redraw he drew the pole position. With his pole position start and his ability to work his way through lapped traffic, Kyle picked up his first ASCS Warrior Region win of the season.

With two solid nights of Warrior Region racing, Kyle is only 8 points out of the points lead. Even though he’s not racing the full National Tour, he’s also made the top 20 in points in that Series. The next Warrior Region race is scheduled for July 3rd at US 36 Speedway in Osborn, MO. It is another National Tour/ Warrior Region co-sanctioned event. Kyle will return to I-30 Speedway this weekend in Little Rock, Arkansas in the 14K to race the 2-Night National Show that rained out earlier in the year.
