Pair of Top-5 finishes in Iowa Dirt Nationals at Dubuque
On Thursday evening, Spencer Diercks visited Dubuque Speedway (Dubuque, Iowa) to pilot the Timmy Current-owned No. 12T Modified for the inaugural Iowa Dirt Nationals. In a field of 30 Modifieds, Spencer locked his spot into the redraw with a heat race victory. Rolling off 12th, Diercks marched forward eight spots in the 20-lapper to register a fourth-place finish. He followed Richie Gustin, Jeff Larson, and Brandon Schmitt to the checkers with Jason Schueller coming in fifth. (Black Hat Photography)
The following night, Diercks jumped up one spot in his heat race to pick up the win. Losing two positions in the feature, Spencer scored a fifth-place finish.
For the finale on Saturday, Spencer’s second-place finish in his heat promoted him into the redraw. Receiving the second-starting position, Diercks faded five spots in the 30-lapper to finish seventh.
