Diercks dominates Iowa Dirt Nationals opener at Dubuque Speedway

Spencer Diercks entered his Rockstar Energy Drink No. 29 Modified into battle at Dubuque Speedway (Dubuque, Iowa) on Thursday night for the Iowa Dirt Nationals opener.

With a flag-to-flag victory in his heat race placing him on the pole for the feature, Diercks won by more than a three-second margin in the 20-lapper to claim his third win of the season. He grabbed the $1,000 payday ahead of Kelly Shryock, Jeff Larson, Dylan Thornton, and Jed Freiburger.

The following night, Diercks followed up a sixth-to-first showing his heat race with an eighth-place finish in the feature.

On Saturday, Spencer secured his spot into the $2,000-to-win finale with a third-place finish in his heat. Rolling off on the sixth row, Diercks was an early retiree from the 30-lap affair on lap 15.
