East Alabama Motor Speedway and Hunt the Front Announce Partnership for September’s Alabama State Championship and October’s National 100

National 100 to Feature Single-Day, $30,000-to-win Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Non-Points Event Oct. 29 as Crate Late Models Headline Alabama State Championship Sept. 22-24

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (Aug. 8) — East Alabama Motor Speedway and Hunt the Front are pleased to announce a partnership that will see September’s Alabama State Championship and October’s National 100 both streamed live on Hunt the Front TV for the first time as part of multiple changes planned for the 2023 versions of the historic dirt track’s two late-season major events.

A longtime fixture on the national Dirt Late Model scene’s fall calendar, the 49th running of the National 100 will see the Super Late Model portion of the event sanctioned and officiated by the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series as a non-points event for the series. Additionally, the entire Super Late Model portion of the event will run as a single-day show for the first time in the event’s modern era on Sunday, Oct. 29 with $30,000 going to the winner of the night’s feature race.

Traditionally an unsanctioned race, the non-points sanctioning means HTF Series staff and officials will oversee all aspects of officiating for the Super Late Model portion of the event, including race directing, technical inspection, and scoring. Additionally, two provisional starting spots will be added to the feature starting field that will be awarded based on the final 2023 points standings for the HTF tour, which wraps up Oct. 7.

National 100 support division action will still be completed over two days with preliminary action set for Saturday, Oct. 28 and main events running during the afternoon on Sunday, Oct. 29 ahead of the full National 100 Super Late Model program later that evening.

Support divisions for the event will be Limited Late Model, Crate Late Model, 602 Sportsman Late Model, Hobby, Road Warrior, Front-Wheel Drive Stock, and 602 Charger. Complete details for support divisions including rules and payouts will be announced in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the Alabama State Championship has been set for Sept. 22-24 and has been redesigned to put the spotlight on the grassroots racers and weekend warriors that form the backbone of dirt track racing. The huge weekend of racing will feature big-money races for 10 divisions with Crate Late Models serving as the event’s headliner as they compete for a $10,000 winner’s check.

The Alabama State Championship will also feature 602 Late Models racing for a $7,500 payday and the Hobby division racing for $4,000. Complete event details including the weekend schedule as well as rules and payouts for all divisions will be announced in the coming weeks. Super Late Models will not race at the Alabama State Championship.

Every lap of action for every division during both the Alabama State Championship weekend and the National 100 weekend will be streamed live on Hunt the Front TV. The two events become the second and third major East Alabama Motor Speedway events on the upcoming Hunt the Front TV streaming lineup, with the HTFTV cameras already set to cover the track’s previously scheduled Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series event set for Saturday Aug. 19.
