Dancer Amped to Open Season This Weekend at East Bay Raceway Park

Inside Line Promotions – DELPHOS, Ohio (Feb. 12, 2018) – Shawn Dancer’s offseason has finally concluded and he’s looking forward to getting his sprint car back on the track.

“We had a productive offseason,” he said. “Kent Karhoff will be joining us again this year, which is a great thing. Cole is also coming back this season and he’s been working really hard in the shop to get everything ready.”

Dancer will start the 2018 campaign this Thursday through Saturday at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Fla., for the Ronald Laney Memorial King of the 360s.

“We’ve had some bad luck before at the beginning of the season,” he said. “It can be hard to get things going sometimes, but with the way we finished this past season we’ve got some confidence.”

Dancer and his crew aren’t making any major changes from last year and after running well last season they’re hoping to continue that momentum into the start of the 2018 season.

“We haven’t ever done super well down at East Bay,” Dancer said. “I don’t think we’ve made a Saturday A Main in the past few years that we’ve gone down, but we’re feeling pretty positive heading into this year.”
