Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Modified Series/DIRTcar Racing Modifieds $5,000 to win at Eldora Speedway for 43rd Annual Dirt Track World Champi
ROSSBURG, OHIO (October 14, 2023)- The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Series and DIRTcar Racing Modifieds will co-sanction the Open Wheel Modified portion of Carl Short’s 43rd Annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship presented by Automotive Racing Products (ARP) at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH, with the Open Wheel Modified portion of the DTWC set for Thursday October 19 and Friday October 20, with Friday’s Open Wheel Modified feature event to pay $5,000 to win and $300 to start.
The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modifieds/DIRTcar Racing Modifieds will begin their portion of the 43rd Annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship presented by ARP on Thursday October 19 and will the co-sanctioned tours in action in E-Z-GO Timed Hot Laps, 8-lap Heat Races, and Impact Race Gear 10-lap B-Mains. In addition to the Open Wheel Modifieds in action at Eldora Speedway on Thursday October 19 will be the Eldora Stock Cars in a full program of timed hot laps, heat races, B-mains, and $1,000 to win feature event.
The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modifieds/DIRTcar Racing Modifieds will conclude their portion of the 43rd Annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship presented by ARP on Friday October 20 with the 25-lap $5,000 to win Open Wheel Modified Dirt Track World Championship Brucebilt A-Main feature event. Also in competition at Eldora Speedway on Friday October 20 will be hot laps, time trials and heat races for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, along with hot laps, time trials, heat races, and B-Mains for the Steel Block Late Model Series.
The 43rd Annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship presented by ARP event concludes on Saturday October 21 with B-Mains, the Jim Dunn Memorial feature, and the 100 lap, $100,000 to win Dirt Track World Championship main event for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, along with the $5,000 to win feature event for the Steel Block Late Model Series.
Of note for Open Wheel Modified teams, they can start staging for pit parking beginning at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday October 18 in Lot 2 by entering driveway one off of North Star Road. For those teams that do arrive early on Wednesday, track officials will begin the process of pit parking for teams from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Modified teams go through technical inspection (optional) from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday if they choose to do so. Pit passes can be purchased from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Activities on Thursday October 19 will see pit pass sales begin at 9:00 a.m. and the pit area will open at 11:00 a.m. Mandatory technical inspection for Open Wheel Modified and Stock Car competitors will take place from Noon until 5:00 p.m. The driver meetings will take place at 5:15 p.m., with timed hot laps set to begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday October 20 will see the pit area open at 10:00 a.m., with the drivers meeting at 4:15 p.m. and hot laps at 5:00 p.m. On Saturday October 21, the pit area opens at Noon, with the drivers meeting at 5:15 p.m. and hot laps at 6:00 p.m.
Ticket information for the 43rd Annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship presented by Automotive Racing Products is as follows: 3-Day Tickets: Adult General Admission $70 ($75 Reserved), Pit Pass $80; 2-Day Tickets: Adult General Admission $60 ($65 Reserved), Pit Pass $75; Thursday: Adult General Admission $15 (Reserved $20), Pit Pass $30; Friday: Adult General Admission $25 (Reserved $30), Pit Pass $35; Saturday: Adult General Admission $45 (Reserved $50), Pit Pass $60
The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Southern Series and DIRTcar Racing will co-sanction the Open Wheel Modified portion of the Dirt Track World Championship program and the tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier M-30S and M-60 compounds in the DIRTcar plated tire 26.5/8.0/15 or 27.5/8.0/15 (The M-60 may be used as a right rear option tire only). Grooving and siping of tires is allowed per UMP rulebook and UMP 2023 body rules apply and there is no limit of tires used per night. The entry fee for teams that pre-enter the event is $50 (deadline to pre-enter is Monday October 16 at 11:59 p.m.), while the entry fee is $100 on raceday. The pre-entry form can be found at www.eldoraspeedwayformstack.com/forms/2023_dtwc. Transponders for timing and scoring will be available to rent at the track.
Bryan Barber of Buffalo, KY holds a slim five-point lead over Blake Brown of Corbin, KY coming into what will be the final event of 2023 for the Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Series. Ben Harmon of Brooks, KY currently sits third in series points, while Peyton Harlow of Glasgow, KY and defending series champion Jacob Hall of Wayland, KY complete the top five in current series points.
