New Promoter's announced
The Martin County Fair board is pleased to announce Zach and Leah Gerhardt have entered an agreement with the board to become the new Fairmont Raceway Track Promoters for the 2022 season. The Fair board supports The Gerhardt’s in their decisions to move racing to Wednesday nights and to choose the sanctioning body that best supports that decision. Zach and Leah have gone to great lengths in making the best decisions for the success of The Fairmont Raceway.
In the 2022 season you will see an updated concession stand and better track prep equipment. With the updated track equipment race shows should run smoothly and timely. It will also eliminate cancelled/postponed shows due to equipment break downs. Also, being discussed is updating some track lighting, better pit arrangements. Better pit arrangements should help the view from the grandstands and pits.
So, on behalf of the Martin County Fair Board we want to congratulate and thank the Gerhardt’s for having the fair’s best interests in keeping racing alive at our Fairgrounds. We also need to thank Beemer companies for the donation of black dirt for the racing surface and Boekett Lumber for the materials in the concession stand.
