Hemric Ready to Put on a Show Again in the Snowflake 100

After Coming from the Rear to Sixth in 2010, Hemric is Going After the Trophy

After making a run like he did in the 2010 Allen Turner Hyundai Snowflake 100, there was no way Daniel Hemric could resist a trip back to Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida to do it again in 2011. Hemric came from the rear of his last-chance race to fight his way into the Pro Late Model show and marched his way through the field of the 100-lap event to a sixth-place finish in 2010.

Although Hemric’s usual Carswell Motorsports team won’t be able to make the pilgrimage to the Florida panhandle this year, Hemric will step back into another Jeff Fultz Racing Pro Late Model for the event, the same team he paired with last year.

“Ultimately we wanted to be at the Derby this year after how well we ran in the Snowflake last year, said Hemric. “But the Carswell Motorsports team wasn’t going to be in town that weekend. Jeff Fultz came to me with the opportunity to drive his and Rich Clark’s #30 Jeff Fultz Racing car and I’m excited about it. I’m mounting the seat in it as we speak and getting ready to go.

Despite not being in his now familiar Carswell Motorsports #98, Hemric is excited to be teaming back up with Fultz and is ready to make the most of his opportunity no matter what vehicle he’s piloting.

“It’s a great opportunity to get back into one of Jeff’s cars, said Hemric. “Being a driver himself, we can relate to each other when we talk about our racecars. He’s very sharp and has been so successful. Whether it’s him talking about his Super (Late Model) or me asking him about my car, we work well together and I’m excited to be paired up with him and those guys again. I’m going out there to put on a good show for Rich Clark and put that car in victory lane.

In a race that seems to garner more and more attention every year, the competition level also seems to climb with time. Hemric is ready to take on the toughest field of Pro Late Models in the country for his shot at the Snowflake 100 trophy.

“Anytime you go there, the amount of competition is unbelievable, said Hemric. “You’re racing against the guys that run there in the Blizzard Series and their Pro Late Model series year-round. Those guys may have a lot more laps, but you don’t get many opportunities like I have with his deal and I’m going to make the most of it. We’re just going to give it all we’ve got.

The Allen Turner Snowflake 100 will take the green flag from Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida on Saturday night, December 3rd.
