Grill, Winslow Bask in First Career Track Titles at Five Flags Speedway
By Chuck Corder
Augie Grill watched the celebration with a wry smile.
He was happy to see his friendly rival Bubba Pollard enjoying his Miller Lite 100 victory.
He was happy to see one of his Grand American Race Cars extending their Blizzard Series win streak to 11.
More importantly, Grill was happy to get his hands on his career’s first Blizzard season points title.
Still, the all-time leader with eight Blizzard victories would have been happier if he could have escaped with the win. Instead he settled for a third-place finish and the honor of being named a track king.
“That wasn’t really the way we wanted to do it, Grill said with chagrin. “The car was tight, though. But we'll take a third if it means we get a championship.

His runner-up finish to Darin Matthews was good enough to help him secure his first career track title.
"I wouldn't be able to do it without all the good people that help me," Winslow said. "I could stay here all night thanking people."
In seven races, Winslow won three and finished as the runner-up three times, as well.
He did his best Friday, but Matthews was too tough
