AUCTION FOR AUTISM

Pensacola (FL) –Saturday, February 11, 2012, the Pilot Club of Pensacola will co-host the inaugural “Auction for Autism with Five Flags Speedway to raise funds for autism. The local event mirrors NASCAR’S 2012 movement to support autism. 100% of monies raised at the Pensacola event will remain in the local community. The live auction will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Five Flags Speedway Swap Meet (located at 7451 Pine forest Road, Pensacola.)

WXBM morning host and Sportsmen driver Marty White will be the auctioneer.

The local event was inspired by Patricia Stevens, fundraising chair for the Pilot Club of Pensacola. Stevens states, “Autism is one of the brain-related disorders that our organization brings awareness about each year in Pensacola. We are fortunate that the race families of NASCAR and our local Tim Bryant of Five Flags Speedway are also committed to helping families affected by this condition.

Stevens has already secured authentic NASCAR gear available for auction including a driving suit from Tim Fedewa and autographed items from Hermie Sadler, Dale Earnhart, Sr., Kevin Harvick, Jimmy Johnson, Richard Petty, Bobby Allison, and the late Davey Allison.

Reservations are not required and there is no cost to attend the family event.

For more information about the event or to donate your NASCAR memorabilia, contact Patricia Stevens at (850)324-2343 or (850) 434-2762. Some auction items are available for previewing on the “Pilot Club of Pensacola FACEBOOK page.

The Pilot Club of Pensacola’s mission is to promote awareness of brain-related disorders by helping those affected through volunteer activities, education, and financial support. Pilot Club of Pensacola celebrates 83 years of volunteer service to our community. Learn more about the Pilot Club at www.pilotflorida.org.
