ROAD TO THE SNOWFLAKE STARTS FRIDAY NITE

After a record breaking entry list for the 2011 Allen Turner Snowflake 100 last December, there is little reason to be surprised if the opening race of the 2012 Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series offers up more of the same competition. Snowflake Champion Augie Grill will roll into Pensacola as the favorite. Fresh off a 3rd place finish in the Buddy’s Home Furnishing Blizzard Series opener last weekend for Super Late Models, Grill will be sure to have his Ford Fusion in top form once again. He better. South Carolina standout Kyle Benjamin, Texas big gun Zach Hausler, Georgia veteran Dwayne Buggay, and a long list of others, including defending 5 Flags Champion D.J. VanderLey and former Track Champion Johanna Long, will all be at the top of their game this Friday Night at 5 Flags Speedway. The 100 Lap event will be the first of 5 races leading back to the December 1 running of the Snowflake. In similar fashion to the Blizzard Series, the Allen Turner Series will offer guaranteed starting positions in the 2012 Snowflake 100 to the top 2 drivers in the point standings for the 5 race series. And to add more incentive for competitors, Friday Night’s event will join with Montgomery Motor Speedway’s Saturday Night opener of the “Show me the Money Series, to offer up extra bonus money.

The West Florida Coatings Sportsman Division will be back this week, as will the Butler U-Pull It Bombers. But the real hero of the night, will be the Easter Bunny as he sets the stage for a gigantic Easter Egg Hunt for all the kids in attendance.
