The annual test and tune session for all seven classes of race cars ended at mid afternoon Saturday when a misty line of light showers made practice too dangerous to continue.  The early end dashed the plans of drivers hoping for conditions similar to qualifying in 2 weeks to make mock qualifying runs.

The times clocked earlier were used to award cash for the fastest in each class. Many drivers were practicing for the first time on the half mile oval.
