Pre-race ceremonies for the race will now begin at 12 p.m. CT. Cars will be on the starting grid at 11:30 a.m. CT.
The change made by track officials is the result of a weather forecast that includes the possibility of an afternoon rain shower mid-to-late afternoon.
“With our fans in mind, we want to make every attempt to allow them to see the race in its completion, said Tim Bryant, Promoter of the Snowball Derby. “That’s why we’re taking this opportunity to move the start time up and allow fans to experience pre-race ceremonies before the race begins.
A field of 36 Super Late Models will take the green flag Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. CT / 2:05 p.m. ET.
Race fans unable to attend the race will be able to watch the action beginning at 12 p.m. CT with a pre-race show on Speed51.TV. If you don’t already have your video ticket to watch, click here to purchase one today.
