While we wait…….

We hope this finds you and your family in good health during these extraordinary times in our community, our state, and our nation. While some were skeptical at the outbreak of this pandemic, we think by now everyone is aware of the seriousness of the coronavirus. We are deeply appreciative of our Federal, State, and Local Leaders who are guiding us thru these uncharted waters, and also to all the Medical Professionals and First Responders who are putting their own health at risk for the benefit of others.

We hope you are practicing proper social distancing, or staying at home whenever possible. These are the most important things we can do as individuals to help the situation. It is inspiring to see how Americans are now pulling together to help defeat this horrible disease. We will defeat it, and when we do, it’ll be time to go racing. And we are ready!!

Ready as we are, unfortunately all racing activities at 5 Flags Speedway scheduled during the month of April are currently on hold. We are monitoring guidelines set forth by our local officials and plan on racing just as soon as we can offer a safe environment for Fans, Competitors, and Employees. An adjusted 2020 Season Schedule is pending, and will be based upon the actual date we can begin. In order to make up lost events, we may get creative in ways never seen before. Stay tuned.

The rescheduling of the ARCA Pensacola 200 is also pending. NASCAR is not currently issuing new dates until such time as they know just how many events they are dealing with. For advance ticket holders, your tickets are good for the rescheduled date, and if you have any questions please call 850-944-8400, or Track Enterprises at 217-764-3200.

By now, you may have received your ticket order form for the 53rd Annual Snowball Derby. Please note the order form states that the renewals will begin on June 1st, not April 1st as in years past. This includes tickets, parking passes, and RV camping spots. This was done in favor of the many who like to renew early, and may be facing financial hardships thru our current health concerns. All renewals will begin on June 1st, while the deadline for renewals will remain August 1st as before. After a couple weeks to process upgrades, all remaining seats will go on sale to the general public on Monday, August 24th.

We’re proud to be a part of this tight knit racing community. We’ve seen several instances of people helping others during times of need. We stand ready as well. Despite the delay in getting the 2020 racing season underway, we feel strongly that this may end up being the most exciting year we’ve seen in quite a while. There are numerous indicators pointing in that direction. We can’t wait to get started, and when we do, we hope to see you at the races!!
