BIZZARD 100 FOR SLM & CROWN STOCK RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY SEPT. 22ND. MODS ON SATURDAY SEPT 23
Mother Nature got its way despite Five Flags Speedway officials' best efforts to maintain the track Saturday night.
The second night of the PepperJack Kennels Twin Blizzards weekend was canceled after pesky showers wouldn't relent at Pensacola's high banks. No division—the Deep South Cranes Blizzard Series for Super Late Models, Modifieds of Mayhem and Story & Bleich Crown Stocks—were able to complete one lap Saturday as bands of rain swept across the Gulf Coast.
A makeup date has been set for the Blizzard cars and the Crown Stock. Both series will return Sept. 22, setting up a giant doubleheader weekend to close the regular season at the famed half-mile asphalt oval.
The Modifieds will run their 50 lap race on Sept. 23rd.
The SLMs and the Allen Turner Hyundai Pro Late Models will compete for titles at the Night of Champions on Sept. 23. The Crown Stocks, meanwhile, have been added to the Aug. 4 show at Five Flags, the night of the track's annual Demolition Derby.
Fans, who were at Saturday's show before the rain unceremoniously dismissed everyone, will be allowed to use their tickets and arm bands at face value for any regular season show remaining on this year's schedule.
