Jake Karklin Wins Wild TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour Event at Harris Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – HARRIS, N.C. (May 19, 2019) – Jake Karklin captured an action-packed TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour feature event on Saturday at Harris Speedway.

Karklin is the only driver to finish on the podium during both races this season.

Brandon McLain finished in the runner-up position with John Karklin placing third, Mike Jackson fourth and Mike Sellers fifth.

One of the biggest moments of the night came just after the midpoint of the 25-lap main event as Sean Vardell’s engine cut off coming out of turn four. As he drifted up the track to get out of the way of his fellow competitors, the fourth car in line – Bronzie Lawson – wasn’t able to spot Vardell until it was too late. Lawson hopped Vardell’s right rear tire and flipped down the frontstretch. Lawson did go to the hospital, but has been released.

Vardell and George Blaney were the heat race winners.

The next TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour race is a non-points event next Friday and Saturday at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Md.

The next points race for the series is June 8 at 311 Speedway in Pine Hall, N.C. That event will have one of the biggest paying purses in the history of the series. The winner will receive $1,000 with second earning $550 and third $475. It pays $311 to start the A Main.

VP Racing Fuels is putting up one free drum of M1 methanol to the team with the longest haul.

The event will be the first of several live streamed events through Total Sports Network. The series will host qualifying that night. The Fast Time Award pays $50 and one oil change from TriboDyn Lubricants.
