Robinson picture perfect on Thursday prelim win

(Clewiston, FL) - Chris Robinson followed suit in his dominance of group B just like McDowell did earlier in the night in the group A Elevator Cab Interior Twin 25 lap A main events.

Robinson was the fast qualifier, heat race winner, and feature event winner in a highly contested group B main event. Kyle Demo of Fulton, NY started in the 7th spot and quickly moved into the top three by lap 4. At halfway it was Robinson, three time and defending IMCA national champion, Dillon Raffurty, Demo, and father-son duo Justin and Doug Williams.

Demo took advantage of a restart and got by Raffurty and couldn’t quite get to Robinson as he eventually pulled away and scored the win in the 25 lap affair. They would finish on the podium in that order and Chase Nornberg and the elder Williams rounded out the top five.

Sixth through tenth went to Riley Clem, Justin Williams, Reed Garey, Ben George, and Tom Hann respectively.

The action continues tonight with another set of qualifying, heats, and Twin 25 lap events sponsored by Tri State Drilling.
