ASCS Red River Set For Three Nights Across Kansas With NCRA Showdown Mixed In

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (July 9, 2018) The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products is slated for three nights of racing this weekend with the state of Kansas on the radar.
On the docket is Caney Valley Speedway on Thursday, July 12, followed by Humboldt Speedway on Friday, July 13, and finally 81 Speedway on Saturday, July 14. The shows at Humboldt and 81-Speedway are co-sanctioned with NCRA. Going into the three-night affair, Alex Sewell has a 117 point lock on the championship standings over Lance Norick. Trailing by 166, Fred Mattox holds third with Sean McClelland and Jake Greider making up the series top-five.
Weathered out in their last attempt, Caney Valley Speedway’s Thursday night show will open at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT) and includes Late Models, B-Mods, and Factory Stocks. Admission is $15 for adults with kids 7-12 admitted for only $5. For more information, http://www.caneyvalleyspeedway.net.
Friday, July 13 brings the cars of the National Championship Racing Association (NCRA) into the mix at Humboldt Speedway. The first of two nights with the Kansas based series, Humboldt Speedway opens at 6:00 P.M. with racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). The night’s card also includes Rays Metal Depot NASCAR B Modifieds, Tumbleweed Music Festival NASCAR Street Stocks, Home Savings Bank NASCAR Factory Stock, O'Reilly Auto Parts Sport Compact. Admission for Friday night is $15 for adults, kids 6-12 is $5, and Pit Passes are $35. Get more information on Humboldt Speedway at http://www.humboldtspeedway.com.
Saturday, July 14 at 81-Speedway will also include USAC Wingless Sprints of Oklahoma as well as NCRA Modifieds and Mod-Lites. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). More information, directions, and prices can be found online at http://www.race81speedway.com.
In NCRA competition, the top drivers so far this season is Jeremy Campbell with J.D. Johnson only 20 points back. Don Droud, Jr., Danny Jennings, and Jeff Stasa make up the top-five with 95 points separating the lot. Information on NCRA can be found at http://www.racencra.com.
