Inside Line Promotions – BURLISON, Tenn. (May 23, 2017) – Brandon Hanks is climbing back into his 410ci winged sprint car this weekend during a pair of MOWA Series events.

Hanks will make his debut at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., on Friday before racing for the second career time at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., on Saturday.

“We want to run more 410 stuff,” he said. “I just need more seat time to get better in it. It’s different when you’re so used to the 360s. You have a whole lot more under your right foot. The car is the same, but a lot of things are different.”

Hanks has eight career 410 starts under his belt, including three this season. He placed 18th at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, Ind., on May 12 and 20th at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., the ensuing night during his first career appearances with the MOWA Series.

“I don’t like how those races ended so I’ve been looking forward to getting back on the track,” he said.

The opportunity begins this Friday at Jacksonville Speedway.

“I’ve watched a bunch of videos on that place,” he said. “It looks fun. It looks like a miniature Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., where you’re banging the wall. I’m excited about it.”

Saturday will mark Hanks’ first appearance at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 since competing in the Ironman 55 last August with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

“You haul the mail around that place,” he said. “It’s probably the fastest place I’ve been on. At least it feels that way. I’m hoping to do well now that I know what to expect.”
