Taylor Ryan scores first career win at I-90 Speedway
An exciting night of action Saturday at I-90 Speedway concluded with a driver getting the first win of his career. Taylor Ryan took home the win in the Spielman Excavating IMCA Sprint Cars to get his first trophy in the sport. Zach Olivier, Quinten Johnson and Josh Bradley also took wins on a day that looked like Mother Nature would get the victory with thunderstorms passing in all directions of the speedway.
Ryan led the entire duration of the feature to get his first win. It got tense, however, in the closing laps when a caution waved with just two laps to go. Ryan would hold steady on the restart to charge to the checkered. Lee Goos, Jr, coming off the win the week prior, crossed the line in second ahead of Jesse Lindberg. Jared Jansen was fourth ahead of Elliot Amdahl.
Zach Oliver got his second win of the year at I-90 Speedway – the 22nd of his career at the track. Oliver and Brandon Ferguson battled door-to-door for the top spot for the majority of the event. In the end, Dan Jensen was second with Billy Prouty rounding out the top three. John Hoing led the first two laps before mechanic trouble set in and sent him pitside.
Quinten Johnson led every lap of the Great Western Bank USRA B-Modified feature to get his first win of 2021 and his second at the track. Camden Myers charged from the fifth row to take second ahdead of Anthony VanEverdingen.
In the LawnSnow.com USRA Hobby Stock feature, Josh Bradley took the lead with three laps remaining in the feature and he’d go on to claim his first win at I-90 Speedway. Landon Krohn was second with Joel Norris third after leading the first nine laps.
I-90 Speedway is back in action this coming Saturday night headlined by the Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series.
