August 17th Results & Recap

Racing action returned to the Jamestown Speedway this past Saturday night for Guns & Hoses Night (Law Enforcement & Fire Fighters Night) and Night 7 of the 2 Strong IMCA Sport Mod Summer Dirt Series presented by Valley Plain Equipment!! The weather was very sketchy all day as there was an 80% chance of rain at race time. However, the weather held up and we only received a small shower right before the INEX Legend Cars feature event. Otherwise, it is a great night of racing action and we want to thank all of the drivers, fans, and track workers that braved the weather and came out to enjoy the action on Saturday. The track was outstanding, as it was very smooth and had a lot of racing grooves. We had a total of 105 cars in the pits. Congratulations goes out to our winners and runner-ups on Saturday night:

Bombers/Pure Stocks - 14 Cars:

• Winner: Dillon Steele (First Win), Runner-Up: Jarod Klein

INEX Legends - 16 Cars:

• Winner: Drew Papke, Runner-Up: Donavin Wiest

Wissota Midwest Modifieds - 19 Cars:

IMCA Sport Mods - 15 Cars:

Wissota Street Stocks - 16 Cars:

IMCA Modifieds - 17 Cars:

Jr./Sr. Slingshots - 8 Cars:

Once again, thank you to all of the drivers, fans, and track personnel that came out to the show on Saturday night. We really appreciate everyone's support at the Jamestown Speedway and we have to thank Lindsey Lawson and the Conway family for bringing in the IMCA Sport Mods for the 2 Strong IMCA Sport Mod Summer Dirt Series. We hope all of the drivers had a great time and hope to see you guys back for the Stock Car Stampede.

Please join us next week for some more high-flying, action-packed racing on Jamestown's 1/4 mile high-bank oval. Next week Saturday, August 24th, is Back to School Night (Backpack Giveaways for the Kids) with all regular classes running. The gates open at 5:30 pm and racing action begins at 7:00 pm. Hope to see everyone in Jamestown this Saturday for one of our final race before the 48th Annual Jamestown Stock Car Stampede!! Also, drivers don't forget to sign-up for the 48th Annual Jamestown Stock Car Stampede Calcutta auction, as it adds money into the prize fund for the Stampede weekend.
