Steffes Wissota Street Stock Tour - Race Results & Recap

An awesome night of racing for the Steffes Wissota Street Stock Tour and Ladies Night at the Jamestown Speedway on Saturday night, August 8th sponsored by MIX 93.3FM. It was a great night of racing and some awesome prizes were given to our lady race fans throughout the night. Thanks to all of the sponsors and local supporters that donated items to be given to our lady race fans. Also, a huge thanks to Benji Froemke and all of the supporters of the Steffes Wissota Street Stock Tour for bringing the tour to Jamestown this season and providing some great contingency awards for the drivers.

Great job to the track prep crew for their hard work this past weekend as we had some rain come through on Saturday morning that made the track quite tacky at the beginning of the night. However, the track was in a great shape as it had multiple grooves and a lot of side by side battles with great racing. Overall, it was a great way to kick off the month of August with racing and in total, we had 118 cars in the pits to do battle on Saturday Night.

Congratulations goes out to our feature winners and runner-ups:

Bombers/Pure Stocks - 16 Cars:

  • Winner: A.J. Davenport, Runner-Up: Dylan Steele

  • Three wins in a row for A.J. Davenport at the Jamestown Speedway. A great battle between A.J. and Nick Thoreson until heart break occurred for Nick when his car went up in a cloud of smoke with three laps to go.

INEX Legends - 17 Cars:

  • Winner: Tye Wilke, Runner-Up: Ryan Braseth

  • An awesome race with a lot of three and four wide racing up front for the win.

Wissota Midwest Modifieds - 27 Cars:

  • Winner: Brennon Weight, Runner-Up: Troy Nelson

  • A great race and a lot of great battles. It looked like Lucas Rodin's race to win, until heart break occurred with four laps to go. Lucas was slicing and dicing his way through lap traffic and unfortunately a wreck occurred right in front of him that took him out of the race. After that occurred, it opened the door for Brennon Weight to pick up the win and a great battle occurred between Troy Nelson, Aaron Michel, Preston Carr, and Nate Reinke for the runner-up spot.

Wissota Street Stocks - 30 Cars:

  • Winner: Jonny Carter, Runner-Up: Royce Jawaski (From 12th)

  • An awesome race for the Steffes Wissota Street Stock Tour. It was a great battle for the win between Jonny Carter, Justin Vogel, Kyle Dykhoff, Royce Jawaski, and Tracy Domagala. A lot of great racing and the Wissota Street Stocks put on a great show.

IMCA Modifieds - 21 Cars:

  • Winner: Jarrett Carter, Runner-Up: John Nord

  • Jarrett Carter picked up his first Jamestown Speedway IMCA Modified Feature win. He was over 3 seconds ahead of the great battle for second between John Nord, Marlyn Seidler, and Eric Edwards.

Jr./Sr. Slingshots - 7 Cars:

  • Winner: Joseph Banish, Runner-Up: Gavin Edinger

Wissota Street Stocks Make-Up Feature from 7/25/2020:

  • Winner: Billie Christ, Runner-Up: Kasey Ussatis

Once again, thank you to all of the drivers, fans, sponsors, and track personnel that came out to the show on Saturday night. We really appreciate everyone's support at the Jamestown Speedway and we have to thank everyone for coming out. We hope all of the drivers had a great time and hope to see everyone back throughout the season.

Please join us next week for some more high-flying, action-packed racing on Jamestown's 1/4 mile high-bank oval. Next week Saturday, August 15th is Guns & Hoses and Back to School Night! All law enforcement and first responders will get into the races for free and we will have a bunch of giveaways for our junior fans as they get ready for school. All regular classes will be back in action. The gates open at 5:30 pm and racing action begins at 7:00 pm. Hope to see everyone next week Saturday for some horsepower at the Jamestown Speedway!
