5th Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial Results & Recap
This past Saturday was a very special night at the Jamestown Speedway as the 5th Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial took place. The top drivers from around the region were here to compete in the IMCA Modifieds, Wissota Street Stocks, INEX Legends as part of the Legendary Tour in memory of Jeff King, Wissota Midwest Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, and Jr. Slingshots. The weather was perfect and the racing action was good. The track was quite fast and provided lots of goog racing. Nice job to the Jamestown Speedway track prep crew to allow for a smooth surface for the drivers.
We want to thank all of the drivers, fans, and track workers that came out to celebrate the life of Don Gumke, John Corell Jr, Dave Martinson, and Donovan Moran on Saturday night. From all of us at the Jamestown Speedway, we hope everyone enjoyed the event and had a great time as we honored these great drivers and individuals. Additionally, we have to thank all of our sponsors and supporters of the 5th Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial. A huge thanks goes out to Don Wilhelm Inc. & your Heartland Chevy Dealers, I-29 Trailer Sales, Dakota Engine Builders, the Gumke & Dieterle families, the Corell family, Gordon's Interstate Towing, Clint Dunwoody, S&R Truck Plaza, Dacotah Speedway TV, and many more for their support of this great even.

We really appreciate everyone's support at the Jamestown Speedway and we have to thank everyone for coming out for the 5th Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial. We also have to thank the crew from Dacotah Speedway TV for broadcasting the races on Saturday night for fans that could not make it to the Speedway. It was so great to have so many people in the stands supporting the event on Saturday night and especially, the families of the fallen drivers for coming out to the Speedway. We hope all of the drivers had a great time and hope to see everyone back throughout the season.
Please join us next week for some more high-flying, action-packed racing on Jamestown's 1/4 mile high-bank oval. Next week WEDNESDAY, June 12th, the Jamestown Speedway will be back in action with more great racing action. It will be the kick off of the Stutsman County Fair and we are racing on WEDNESDAY NIGHT. The gates open at 5:30 pm and racing action begins at 7:00 pm. Hope to see everyone this coming Wednesday!
