First Female To Win Championship At Jennerstown Speedway Under The Rush Asphalt Series Banner

With the ominous forecast for multiple systems of precipitation to move through the area in the afternoon, and again during the evening hours, Jennerstown Speedway Complex has cancelled the September 2nd racing program. Next Saturday, September 9th, all five divisions of stock cars will compete, in non-point races, and the event will carry a rain date of Sunday, September 10th.
With this cancellation, the point standings are now final, with division championship titles for 2017 earned by: Jeremiah Kuntz (Martella’s Pharmacies Late Models), Chris Brink (Stoystown Auto Wreckers Modifieds), Lauren Butler (J&J Truck Equipment Street Stocks), Jason Pritts (Farmers Union Co-Op Chargers), and Brent Bickerstaff (Somerset Trust Company Fast ‘n Furious 4-Cylinders).
We at Edlin Motorsports are proud of our driver Lauren Butler and her accomplishments during the 2017 season. She drove the number 53 Edlin Motorsports Monte Carlo to 3 wins, 12 top 5's, and 12 top 10's and 1 photo finish were she came from 3rd, with 1 lap to go, to finish second. She has shown a lot of ability in communicating with her crew chief which in turn gave her a stable and fast car.
We would like to thank Jennerstown Speedway for the opportunity to race at this great facility. All the officials, medical personnel, and the owners, without you guys and gals this would not be possible. Thank you so much.
Vicki Emig of the RUSH ASPHALT SERIES, we are so honored to be in your series and to have the first female to be a champion in the series.
Brad Hibbard, we thank you for all you do for us and the great crate engines
you supply.
To all of our sponsors and supporters of the Edlin Motorsports Team, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. They include Dave Forrester (Farmers Union Co-op), Tawaan and Shanna of Night and Day Seal Coating, John Ray of Roof Repair Experts and Big Dog Auto, M & B Auto Recycling, Addiction Powersports, MyRacePass, who has come on board towards the end of the season, and Jim Girvin of Cornwell Tools, who has supported Lauren from the time she first started racing. Thank you all so very much!
Linda Lea Butler, who acquired the name Logistics Person, for all you do keeping stats, filling out forms, and keeping us in-line in the pits and on the race track.
Special thanks to the Kimberly family for all their help at the track and especially for keeping us fed.
A special thanks to all of our fans who have followed us on facebook and at the track. It is very humbling to look up in the stands every race night and see all the fans cheering Lauren on. To see the fan-made signs with Lauren's name and her number on them is actually breathtaking, so we thank you very much.
