Dover on a rail at McCool
Bryan Hulbert - McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. (May 24, 2013) Jack Dover earned the pole in the night’s 25 lap Speedway Motors A-Feature at the Junction Motor Speedway and never gave up the top spot in Friday’s Speedway Motors Midwest Regional event.
Opening to as much as a straight-a-way advantage over Brian Brown, the Home Pride No. 53 looked to be in line for a last lap challenge from Brown until the Casey’s General Store No. 21 went four tires above the cushion coming to the white flag; nearly going tail tank first into the concrete.
The McCool triumph is Dover’s second Speedway Motors Midwest Regional win of the 2013 season. The runner up spot is Brown’s third in as many nights. Don Dround, Jr. rolled to third with Ryan Roberts, and Jordan Boston making up the top five.
Jason Danley, Stu Snyder, Cody Ledger, Robby Wolfgang, and Dustin Ballenger made up the top ten.
The $300 Podium Challenge presented Electrical Systems was earned by Brian Brown for the second night running.
