Alberson attends Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway
Monday night found Garrett Alberson in action at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the second annual One for the Road. Drawing 31 Castrol FloRacing Night in America series entries, Alberson laid down the seventh quickest lap in time trials before placing second in his heat race. Starting the $15,000-to-win A-Main in fourth, Garrett wrestled away the lead from Kyle Larson on the 14th lap and led the ensuing six circuits. On Thursday, the Roberts Motorsports team trekked to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) for the 17th annual Knoxville Nationals presented by Brandt. In a field of 48 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) competitors, Garrett’s second-place finish in his heat race pinned him 17th on the starting grid for the preliminary feature. With $7,000 on the line, Alberson dropped three spots in in the 25-lapper to finish 20th.

With preliminary results from Thursday and Friday sending Alberson into a B-Main for another shot at the $50,000-to-win Knoxville Nationals, Garrett posted a second-place finish, which positioned him 28th on the starting grid for the finale. Gaining eight spots in the 100-lap affair, Garrett Alberson recorded a 20th-place finish.
