Dover Returning to Huset’s Speedway This Weekend for First Time Since August 2016

Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Sept. 1, 2020) – Jack Dover is invading Huset’s Speedway this weekend for the first time in a little more than four years.

Dover will take part in the Midwest Sprint Touring Series part of the doubleheader at the high-banked oval in Brandon, S.D., on Saturday and Sunday. An invitational field of 24 drivers was selected for each night.

“We’ve always had good results there so I’m looking forward to this weekend,” he said. “We have the engine problem that slowed us down this summer and our car has been working really well. I’m hungry for a win right now and I’m expecting nothing less than a win.”

Dover has been victorious at the track, reaching the Winner’s Circle in August 2013. Since then he has produced a top-five performance during all four starts. Dover placed second in his lone visit in 2014 before he finished second twice in June 2016. He charged from 14th to fifth during his most recent race at the track in August 2016.

Dover has hit a recent snag after a strong start to his summer. After posting 12 top 10s in 13 races – including a trio of victories and 10 top fives – in June and July, Dover ran into more DNFs in August than the rest of his season combined.

“We’ve gone through everything on the car and Speedway Engines has done the same with the engines so I think we’re in a good place,” he said. “Hopefully we can get September started with a win or two.”
