Starks Venturing to Skagit Speedway and Huset’s Speedway This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (Sept. 16, 2020) – Trey Starks is planning to run a trio of 360ci winged sprint car races this weekend.

Starks will pilot his family owned car on Thursday at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash., during the track’s season finale prior to invading Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., with Gobrecht Motorsports for the DeKalb/Asgrow Power Series Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores.

“We’ve had success at Skagit and at Huset’s so I think it will be a great weekend,” he said. “This will be our final race of the season in the family car and I think our last two 360 races with Gobrecht Motorsports this season so hopefully we’ll be a contender each night.”

Starks was victorious at Skagit Speedway this summer.

“We got better each time we raced there before picking up the win in July,” he said. “We had a great chance at winning the last race a couple of weeks ago, too. I went for the win, but got into the cushion too hard and we ended up in the wall. I know we have a car capable of competing for the victory so hopefully everything plays out in our favor.”

Starks has three 410ci starts at Huset’s Speedway this summer with Gobrecht Motorsports. The team’s best result was a 12th-place effort in the most recent race, which was also their top World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series result of the season.

“We’ve had good speed at Huset’s and our last run gives us more confidence there,” Starks said. “This will be different since we haven’t run a 360 there, but the laps in the 410 should help us adapt quickly this weekend.”
